, in the North Delta region of Mississippi, is located in Quitman County near Lambert. This 5,914 acre WMA represents one of the few remaining contiguous
tracts of timber in the Mississippi delta. The
area provides enjoyment to hunters and homes for game and
non-game species of wildlife. O'Keefe WMA is intensively
managed for waterfowl. In addition to waterfowl, deer and gray squirrel
hunting are also popular. Migratory songbirds and
waterbirds are also seasonally abundant.Directions
From Batesville take Hwy. 6 West to Hwy. 3 at Marks. Go south on Hwy. 3 to Hwy. 322 at Lambert. Go East on 322 to 6th Street, turn south on 6th Street for approximately 7 miles to a sign on the left side of the road saying Headquarters Building. Turn left and go approximately 1/4 mile to the Headquarters Building.
